A great garden can be started anyplace and at any time with the right tools, determination, and knowledge.
 
Master Gardener Dori Green will demonstrate and provide guidance in several different tech-niques for the creation of beauty in difficult spaces.
 
This is a hands-on work-shop! Bring gloves, bug repellent, water, and something to sit upon (folding chair or a sit-upon).
Methods to be addressed include:
 
  • John Jeavons' Double-dug French Intensive Permanent Beds
 
  •  Ruth Stout's Deep Mulch and "Lasagna Layers"
 
  • Mel Bartholomew's "Square Foot" Frames
 
  • Solarization
 
  • Instant bag gardens
 
  • Dori's own "Laziest Garden Ever"
 
 
COST:  $10. 
 
Everybody will take home a container plant for their own garden!
 
Weather permitting, we'll enjoy an optional swim and picnic and discussion after the workshop. Bring your own picnic items and supplies.
